About the Item
A brass and glass table lamp with pretty pierced details to the shade. Attributed to Bent Karlby for Lyfa of Denmark, 1940s or 1950s.
A simple design with a wide brass shade and simple brass stem and base; the pierced shade fits over a diffuser of white cased glass, and the patterns show nicely when lit.
This piece is in fair vintage condition with lots of patina and character; there is age-related wear and some distortion to the shape. Overall this lamp has brown hue to the metal.
Recent re-wiring to UK standard with dark gold twisted cable; the lamp takes a single E27 screw-fitting bulb and we recommend a low heat model to protect the piece for the future.
