About the Item
A wonderful Bauhaus-style lamp from the 1950s: a large table lamp by Joseph Brumberg Sundern (JBS) - no. 17409 - from West Germany (Sauerland region). This lamp is often attributed to Egon Hillebrand. The very solid lamp impresses with its surface made entirely of brass. It features a heavy base with a metal core and a curved neck with a domed brass shade. The desk lamp's large shade provides a bright, pleasantly glare-free light. The lamp is in very good original condition with only minor scratches and a few dark spots on the brass surfaces. The design of the base suggests that this is probably one of the last rare models of this lamp: the older models only have a simple push-button switch and a slight profile on the vertical edge.
No manufacturer's label is available, but it is definitely the model described above.
