Brutalist table or floor lamp "Drop" by Giotto Stoppino for Tronconi, Italy 1976

About the Item

Post-modern style Italian table or floor lamp "Drop", designed by Giotto Stoppino in 1976 and produced by Tronconi (Enrico Tronconi, editor). Frosted or sanded glass body in the shape of an upside-down water drop, supported on 4 hemispherical chromed metal legs. With its clean and rounded lines, this piece is a clear example of the Italian design of that time, where many of the designs evoked a Space Age era and a brutalist style. Stoppino also designed other luminaires from well-known houses such as Arteluce or Vistosi. Collectible piece. For an E27 bulb. Original wiring revised. Little wear on the metal parts.
