About the Item
A French hunting trophy lamp in buffalo horn and mahogany, dated to circa 1970s. The sculptural form centres on a single spiralled water buffalo horn, polished to a high sheen while retaining its natural patina. The horn rises from a hand-turned solid mahogany base, carved with concentric circles for a subtle graphic accent.
A minimal brass gallery supports the frosted glass globe shade, diffusing the light into a soft ambient glow. The combination of natural materials and warm tones reflects the rustic-modern sensibility found in 1970s French decorative arts, particularly within hunting lodge–inspired interiors.
