About the Item
Table lamp from the 1970ies.
Hannie Mein (1933 - 2003)
Mein worked primarily with black-fired clay, which was fired at high temperatures. Her work was often hand-thrown and sometimes composed of various components. Nature was a recurring theme in her work, recognizable by the naive, stylized animal figures and incised decorations. In addition to utilitarian pottery and unique pieces, she also worked extensively on commission, including wall tableaus for public buildings. She received a Royal Honor in 1998.
