About the Item
Amà, comes from the Catalan ''a mà'', which means ''handmade'', and is how this lamp is made. With hand-turned beech wood, solid brass details, and a domed shade, hand-woven in natural rattan.
Designed by Mariano Chitarrini in Barcelona, and inspired by the atmospheres of mediterranean houses, of the great architects of the 20th century. It is a praise to local craftsmanship.
The contrast between white, wood and natural rattan hand-woven in our workshop in Barcelona; They make this piece an elegant and cozy piece. The texture of its materials is enjoyed by the eye.
LAMPSHADE:
The Amà shade lamp has a ø 30 cm (ø 11.8'') lampshade, and 22 cm (8.7'') high. With its dome shape, it is hand-woven in our workshops, with natural rattan. After weaving the screen, it is protected with a layer of colorless varnish to better withstand humidity conditions. Likewise, it is a lamp only suitable for indoors.
LIGHT:
Inside, it has a double lamp holder, with room for two E-27 or E-26 type bulbs. It is recommended to use LED filament bulbs, warm color. It provides a soft light that is very pleasing to the eye, highlighting the natural details of the rattan on the screen. It is turned on with a handle located inside the screen.
STRUCTURE:
It has a continuous vertical upright, which enters the rattan screen. Its materiality combines details in white and colorless varnished beech wood, highlighting the natural beauty of each material. The precision with which the union between these two materials is made means that there is total continuity in the base of the lamp.
POSITION:
It can be placed on tables, shelves or at floor level.
