About the Item
The Two Eyed Lamp was created as an imaginary creature that embodies the physical attributes of different life forms that fascinate me. As an artist, I often get lost in a make-believe world where anything is possible, and the rules of logic don't apply.
This sculptural lamp is inspired by the by the idea of imaginary nocturnal creatures that live in the forest and come out at night. Switched off, its curious nature captures the viewer's attention as if trying to communicate through its two circular eyes. It holds a three-dimensional form with and African identity, and transforms further when the lights are switched on.
The aim is to give the viewer a glimpse into the fantasy world that exists in my mind.
