About the Item
Contemporary hand-crafted, sculptural one-of-a-kind resin and organic fiber table lamp by American designer James Cherry.
The piece is made of various upcycled materials, including base-blended natural fiber pulp, coconut husks, wood, fabric and resin. The shade is built into its base and is wired for American electrical, and features a dimmer. The bulb is a standard American bulb which we will include a spare with purchase. The charming, lightweight and delicate balloon-like lamp can make any space whimsical and fun, while its flesh tone provides a soft and warm glow.
Artist Information:
James Cherry (B. 1996, Chicago, Illinois) received his BFA from Bard College, and currently resides in Los Angeles. Cherry's work examines the relationship between personal and public information through material manipulation, while primarily practicing within sculpture and drawing. All work is made from recycled and repurposed materials disguised into intimate symbols of the human experience.
