Contemporary Spherical Formed Table Lamp in the Manner of Constantin Brancusi

About the Item

A table lamp with closed hemispherical forms cojoined by a smaller sphere. The lamp is inspired by the works of Constantin Brancusi's heavily reductive sculpture which emerged in the early/mid 20th century. The brass detailing has been lightly antiqued while the main steel body has been oxidized prior to a statuary bronze patination using our unique formula. The whole piece is then sealed with a satin clear finish and waxed. As with all handmade objects, slight variations in the finished surface are to be expected if not sought out. In total, this piece weighs nearly 18lbs and the height of the base measures out at 13.375" before the stem and harp are attached on top. This lamp is sold without a shade as the designer believes this important detail should be dictated by its specific room placement. The lamp is furnished with an adjustable (10"-14") harp and a dimmable (0-150 Watts) socket to enable further customization.
