LA CAJA is a furniture store based in Madrid. Designed and handmade in Spain, LA CAJA’s pieces are carefully crafted and unrepeatable. In 2015 LA CAJA acquired the Spanish brands Casa & Jardin and C&J 2. Since then we have reissued a selection of the most iconic furniture from both brands from the 1960s, 80s, and 90s, and designed new pieces inspired by the acquired. Together, LA CAJA’s furniture portfolio is steeped in Spanish culture and history—continuing designs made by Casa & Jardin for Madrid’s historical gem, The Prado Museum, and taking inspiration from the candles that lit Medieval Spain, the chairs in which Spanish Habsburg monarchs once sat, and much more. Bridging sleek modernity and natural warmth, LA CAJA revives the spirit of these pieces and honors their original forms while adapting them to the current moment. Our furniture is made 100% in Spain by our artisans using traditional techniques. We choose our materials with care for our environment and our clients, using high quality natural leather treated with natural dyes, and exclusively sourcing wood from forests with controlled logging. With today’s art and architecture always top of mind, we create timeless, clean designs that bring beauty and balance to a whole space.
