Danish Ceramic Table Lamp, Stoneware, Nils Kähler for HAK, Denmark 1960s

About the Item

Stoneware table lamp in blue glaze and brown natural stoneware finish. Designed by Nils Kähler in the 1960s or 1970s. Manufactured in the workshop of Herman A. Kähler Ceramic (HAK) in the town of Naestved in southern Denmark. Nils Kähler was the fourth generation of the Kähler family actif in ceramics, he introduced the Scandinavian Modern look to the products in the 1960-70s. The Kähler brand is still appreciated as one of Denmark's greatest 20th century ceramic successes. The lamp is signed with the company brand abbreviation "HAK" (partially hidden by a round sticker) and "Made in Denmark". Comes with it's original lampshade. Works on 110v and on 220v. EU plug can be replaced by US plug for free if desired. Total height 18.11" (46cm) Lampshade diameter 10.24" (26cm) Lamp base diameter 6.3" (16cm) / Lamp base height top of light fixture 10.24" (26cm)
