Scandinavian Ceramic Table Lamp, Nils Kähler for HAK, Denmark

About the Item

Blue glazed stoneware table lamp designed by Nils Kähler in the 1960s. Manufactured by the workshop of Herman A. Kähler Ceramic (HAK) in the town of Naestved in southern Denmark. Nils Kähler was the fourth generation of the Kähler family actif in ceramics, he introduced the Scandinavian Modern look to the products in the 1960-70s. The Kähler brand is still appreciated as one of Denmark's greatest 20th century ceramic successes. The lamp is signed with the first name "Nils" and the company brand abbreviation "HAK". Rewired, new light fixture, new lampshade. EU plug can be replaced by US plug if desired. Measures: Total height 27.17" (69cm) Lampshade diameter 13.78" (35cm) / lampshade height 10.63" (27.5cm) Lamp base diameter 6.3" (16cm) / Lamp base height 13" (33.5cm) / top of light fixture 18.5" (47cm).
