Dazor Model 1000 Industrial desk lamp, United States, 1950s.
A real American classic, this Dazor Model 1000 desk lamp. Often seen on 1950s desks in modern offices. Stylish and very practical, this desk lamp with TL-lamps can be used on a desk, but can also be enjoyed in a living room. The goose neck is flexible and the lampshade can be positioned in any way desired. Fantastic industrial design, referring to streamline design and art deco shapes with great details like the buttons and the metallic lacquer.
The legacy of this lamp was highlighted when the set dressers of the iconic television series 'Mad Men' choose the Dazor 1000 als the standard desk lamp on the desks of all the employees in the beginning of the series, which starts around 1960. Main character Peggy Olson can be seen sitting on her desk next to the Dazor many times.
In wonderful original vintage condition with only a few spots on the lacquer. Fitted with two new TL-lamps.
