About the Item
An intriguing yet powerful new lighting solution, Emi creates a captivating visual experience while delivering exceptional illumination.
Emi features a triangular profile formed by grouping three concealed light modules within a linear matte extrusion, supported by a sleek rod anchored to a cast iron base. Using proprietary Flos technology, Emi produces an impressive lumination, enabled by the creation of compact luminaires equipped with a patented anti-glare optical unit for visual comfort. The space is illuminated to visual perfection without revealing the source as the light emerges from the body and never directly engages the eye. Its design reflects the designer’s vision of bringing professional lighting into domestic settings.
Anti-glare appliance for installation on tables and coffee tables. Built-in 220-240 V power supply, with cable and plug. Spare parts for the optical module (lens) are available, please see the accessories. Independent control of the Up&Down lighting through Touch Dimming capacitive sensors in the top part of the central rod.
Available in table and floor models only: the Emi Floor—standing 67 inches tall—appears to float, its slender stem creating an airy presence. It offers dual lighting: an up light to brighten the room and a soft downlight for more relaxed settings. The Emi Table mirrors this functionality in a compact form, standing 45 inches tall.
Each component can be easily removed and replaced for easy maintenance and recyclable disposal.
Erwan Bouroullec Paris-based designer Erwan Bouroullec describes his philosophy as ‘transparent design’, reflecting an empathetic understanding of human behaviour and everyday life. Simultaneously minimal and playful, his work explores materials and technologies.
