About the Item
An English carved marble table lamp dating to circa 1920, newly wired for use in the USA and mounted on a custom clear lucite base. The lamp’s carved column tapers upward from a circular foot, encircled at midsection with a rope motif, and terminates in a stylized cluster of feathers forming the capital.
The creamy white marble is subtly veined, lending depth to the surface and accentuating the crisp detailing of the carving. The lucite base adds a modern touch while elevating and protecting the stone, creating an attractive interplay between the classic form and contemporary presentation. Measuring 24 inches in height, this lamp offers an elegant silhouette well-suited for desks, consoles, or bedside tables.
