Eva & Johannes Andersen Tall Ceramic Table Lamp with New Shade, Denmark, 1960s

About the Item

Tall Danish midcentury ceramic lamp base from the Danish pottery studio E&J ceramics. The studio was run by the couple Eva and Johannes Andersen in Denmark in the midcentury period. The lamp base is calabash shaped. It is decorated with a basis of black matte glaze and an organic pattern of white glaze, which accentuates the beautiful shape of the ceramic work. Marked E&J Danmark A71 Included is a new lamp shade designed in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and it is natural white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. Measurements: Height incl. lamp shade: 63,5 cm Diameter lamp shade: 37 cm Height ceramic part only: 34 cm Diameter base: 20 cm The lamp comes with an European plug. Use light bulb for type E26/E27 Edison screw-fitting.
