Faux Brass Ceramic Octagonal Monumental Table Lamps

About the Item

The appearance of brass in this pair of oversized lamps makes them difficult to resist. The lamps are faux brass, although they are ceramic with a wood base. This pair of vintage hexagonal lamps are mid-century pieces and quite rare. Each has a hexagonal section and baluster form with flaring top, pinched neck and tapered stepped foot on a wooden base. They are unmarked. The shape of the lamps is familiar, but the treatment--faux brass finish in the deep burnished tones with gold highlights to create a reflection that mimics brass is fairly rare. The lamps are on a three-way switch. They are in good condition, but there are a few breaks and dings in the paint that could be restored with a bit of conservancy. Dimensions: 36-1/2 inches overall height; bodies, 25-1/2 inches tall from socket; 12-1/2 inches wide.
