About the Item
The appearance of brass in this pair of oversized lamps makes them difficult to resist. The lamps are faux brass, although they are ceramic with a wood base. This pair of vintage hexagonal lamps are mid-century pieces and quite rare.
Each has a hexagonal section and baluster form with flaring top, pinched neck and tapered stepped foot on a wooden base. They are unmarked. The shape of the lamps is familiar, but the treatment--faux brass finish in the deep burnished tones with gold highlights to create a reflection that mimics brass is fairly rare.
The lamps are on a three-way switch. They are in good condition, but there are a few breaks and dings in the paint that could be restored with a bit of conservancy.
