About the Item
An elegant and high quality French 19th century Charles X Period patinated Bronze, Tole and Ormolu Bouillotte lamp. This wonderful two arm lamp is raised by a circular patinated Bronze and Ormolu base with a reeded Gilt rim, and centered inside by a palmette designed tapered socle. The two scrolled patinated Bronze electrified arms protrude out from the socle with decorations of acanthus leaves and scrolls leading to the Ormolu candle cups. A delicate central rod supports the original and adjustable Tole shade, which is elegantly decorated with stenciled Gilt bands at the top and bottom. The lamp is finished with a richly chased laurel wreath at the top.
