About the Item

This 19th century French green glass demijohn for storing wine was given a creative update as a table lamp base. The light from the standard-base bulb softly illuminates the bottle to reveal all the texture of the handmade glass. Burlap fabric on the drum shade is a tactile contrast to the transparency of the glass, matching an eclectic range of decorating tastes from coastal decor styles to midcentury modern.
