About the Item
Spelter table lamp reproduction of the statuette "la femme aux roses" by Louis Auguste Moreau (son of Auguste Moreau). The set is mounted on a red marble base.
The subjects of his sculptures are allegorical and classical groups as well as famous people. He also produced sculptures in the Art Nouveau style representing mainly young women or young children, fictional (Salammbô, bronze) or historical heroines, adorned with floral motifs and ornaments.
French circa 1900.
