About the Item

Table Lamp designed by Peter Hamburger for Knoll International c 1960s. Constructed from acrylic with adjustable chromed metal shade. Excellent condition. Kovacs produced this lamp for Knoll International. 13ʺW × 7ʺD × 11ʺL A light, yet sculptural look that stands alone on a desk or console and commands attention, even though the size is modest. Gleaming materials in the perfect proportions that fit a Minimalist space perfectly. Peter Hamburger is an industrial designer and space planner. His light sculptures are in the permanent collection at The Museum of Modern Art. Hamburger took three years to develop his Crylicord lighting collection, introduced by Knoll in 1974. Heat bent Lucite in perfect harmony with gleaming chrome, combining soft curves with sharp angles, a great composition and a great lamp.
