GINO SARFATTI THREE FOOT "GRASSHOPPER" DESK LAMP EXQUISITE! 1953 SIMPLY GORGEOUS! Dimensions: 20" Tall 7" Base Width and 6" Shade Width This is an incredibly rare Italian desk lamp attributed to Gino Sarfatti for Stilnovo. A beautiful design reminiscent of Greta Grossman's "Grasshopper" floor lamp of the same period. It so incredibly simple, that in its simplicity is found an elegance and a purity that is simply beautiful to behold! This lamp has incredible presence! With a bright lime green shade and an ebony body, the lamp really pops and commands attention! Then its elegant lines pull you in and the rich details of brass and ebony enameled turn switch pleasure the senses! One of the coolest mid century modern desk lamps ever made and it has aged well! Very fine vintage condition with age appropriate wear. Displays beautifully! A must have acquisition for your NY penthouse, Palm Springs atomic ranch or West Palm Beach estate!
