About the Item

Unusual and rare Vistosi table or floor lamp, Italy, 1970s. This rare Vistosi lamp is hand crafted in Murano glass, showing a well balanced combination between clear and opaline glass. The shape is clear yet playful at the same time, which is characteristic for the famous work of Vistosi. Since the high quality glass object is placed in an angled position, it has a dynamic appearance. Placed on the floor or on a low table or sideboard this lamp is a real statement piece. Due to its special shape and use of material, this glass piece of light art makes a true eye catcher on the floor or a table. The lamp is in great vintage shape with no faults or chips. It is signed 'Vistosi' at the lower rim on the back.

Arne Jacobsen AJ Oxford Table Lamp for Louis Poulsen
By Arne Jacobsen
Located in Tilburg, NL
Arne Jacobsen AJ Oxford table lamp 410mm in black and opaline for Louis Poulsen. Designed in 1963, current production. The AJ Oxford Table Lamp has a sleek graphic expression, which reflects the architecture of St Catherine's College, in Oxford, for which it was originally designed. St Catherine's College, inaugurated in 1963, was designed by Arne Jacobsen in a modernist architectural style, which stands in contrast with the surrounding classical architecture of Oxford University. The AJ Oxford Table Lamp was first designed as a table pin lamp for the impressive dining hall at the college, which housed long rows of oak tables, seating 350 people. The table lamps act as centrepieces on the tables, while natural light comes from clerestory windows and the wall-mounted AJ Eklipta provides diffused general lighting. The lamp is still found at St Catherine's College, which is still in use today, both for teaching and as a halls of residence for students. The AJ Oxford lamp...

Located in Turin, Turin
Roberto Pamio works intensively in the design world internationally. With the Pamio Architectural Studio and Pamio Design in Scorzè (VE), he ranges from architectural design, interior design and layout, industrial design and image architecture. In all his architecture, natural elements such as light, air and water are emphasized, making space fluid and changeable.
