Groove Series Futura Table Lamp in Grey, Contemporary Blown Glass Lighting
About the Item
The Groove Series Table Lamps are the newest design in this popular series featuring the signature groove embedded in blown glass forms. Combining a modern aesthetic with minimalist color sensibility, these table lights add a futuristic feel to any interior setting. Each lamp is comprised of two parts. The top shade showcases the hallmark groove in an opal white that’s a perfect cool tone for lighting. It’s then paired with a base that has a transparent tone layered over white to make the color pop. The base features a folded lip at the bottom to offer a glimpse of the interior white color that matches the opal white shade. A hand sculpted spout is added to the edge of the base where the cord emerges. Each lamp is wired to UL standards with an on/off switch installed on the cord and comes furnished with an LED bulb.

The work has an aesthetic steeped in the 70's vision of future that William was raised on in film and popular culture. Created using traditional Venetian techniques, the FurthurDesign line utilizes the natural attributes and tendencies of glass to create logical design concepts. While each grouping has machine-made qualities, they have distinctly hand blown features and an organic appeal.
