Handmade Modernist / Machine Age Aluminum Table Lamp
About the Item
One of a kind table lamp constructed of aluminum, stainless steel and aircraft fasteners. Handmade of aluminum that has been cut and folded to create the shade and base, the shade is held together with aircraft fasteners and stainless steel hex bolts. The base is also folded aluminum, using a toggle switch to turn it on, a custom fitting was made to hold the tread stock into the base for the socket, the harp was modified to create the right shade to a base height ratio. The maker is unknown, the lamp was found in the mid west, possibly created by a machinist for their personal use.
