About the Item
HÉCTOR II is a one-of-a-kind, hand-built ceramic sculpture by Carrillo Studio, created in Barcelona in 2025 as part of the Cadaqués Collection.
Crafted from chamotted stoneware and finished with a hand-burnished black engobe, the piece has a matte, mineral presence that evokes coastal rock, carved shadow, and earthbound stillness. Its sculptural form was shaped intuitively, without molds, following ancestral techniques that favor listening—to material, to movement, to silence.
Inspired by the Mediterranean landscape of Cadaqués, HÉCTOR II reflects the studio’s commitment to slow processes, raw materials, and spiritual craft. The piece was exhibited at Gandia Blasco Group’s Madrid flagship during Madrid Design Festival 2025, as part of the show “CONNECTION, The Thread Through the Mediterranean Sensations.”
