HÉCTOR II is a one-of-a-kind, hand-built ceramic sculpture by Carrillo Studio, created in Barcelona in 2025 as part of the Cadaqués Collection.
Crafted from chamotted stoneware and finished with a hand-applied black engobe, carefully burnished with wax, its surface reveals a natural, nuanced sheen—rich in texture, depth, and quiet luminosity. The sculptural form was shaped intuitively, without molds, using ancestral techniques that honor the rhythm of the hands, the clay, and the silences in between.
Inspired by the Mediterranean landscape of Cadaqués, HÉCTOR II embodies the studio’s dedication to slow processes, raw materials, and spiritual craftsmanship. The piece was exhibited at Gandia Blasco Group’s Madrid flagship during Madrid Design Festival 2025, as part of the show “CONNECTION, The Thread Through the Mediterranean Sensations.”
