About the Item

Herman Bergman signed, Swedish Art Deco (Swedish Grace) polished brass column lamp. The lamp has been newly re-polished and lacquered, re-wired with a "S" shaped double standard sockets cluster. The lamp’s shade is the original frame with new paper. A sphere raised from the base has several human figures in relief, the base consist of a solid brass disk which is signed by the Bergman foundry, below that a lacquered wood base. The Herman Bergman foundry has produce casting for many of Sweden's finest artist's work since the late 19th century including Carl Milles. Measure: High 19", shade diameter 15".

A tall, vintage Mid-Century Modern American table lamp made of hand crafted polished brass, designed by Gerald Thurston and produced by Lightolier, in good condition. The desk light is composed with a round white-yellow linen shade and an acrylic diffuser, what blockes slightly the light of the three-way light socket. The lamp is supported by a colorful, faceted marble base. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use, circa 1950, United States. Base: 1.25" H x 7.25" W x 7.25" D.
