Indian Green and Gold Acanthus Carved Finial Drilled to Be Made into a Lamp

About the Item

A vintage Indian green painted and parcel gilt wooden finial from the mid 20th century with carved acanthus leaves, pre-drilled to be made into a table lamp. Created in India during the Midcentury period, this finial attracts our immediate attention with its elegant lines and complimenting colors. Painted in a distressed green contrasted by golden tones, the finial is made of a turned body carved with exquisite acanthus leaves scrolling all the way up to the neck. Raised on a square-shaped serpentine base with canted corners, the finial is pre-drilled to allow you to transform it into a table lamp. You could add a lucite base to the ensemble should you desire it. With its striking colors and skillfully carved décor, this vintage Indian green and gold finial from the mid 20th century will make for a great addition to any home, perhaps displayed on the top of a commode, side table or demilune!
