Industrial Brutalist Brass and Steel Table Lamps, a pair, France 1980s
About the Item
These impressive sculptural modernist industrial table lamps dated from the 1980s. They feature an elongated geometric shape with high gloss polished brass metal elements inserted in solid steel laser-cut molds and a sturdy tubular base in the same polished brass. The lamps were rewired to fit US standards.
We purchased them from an architect's office private estate sale in Paris. There is no visible maker's mark.
Modern rectangular off-white fabric shades are included in the sale.
Measurements: 7.88 in wide (20 cm) x 7.88 in deep (20 cm) x 23.63 in high (60 cm).
The total height with shade is 29.13 in (74 cm).
The shade is 15 in wide (38 cm) x 9 in deep (23 cm) x 10 in high (25.5 cm).
Note: The plastic protection on the shades was removed after the pictures were taken.
