About the Item

An original, daring Italian Mid-Century Modern table lamp circa 1950 attributed to Arredoluce and Angelo Lelli. This elegant and rare piece displays the timeless aesthetics, balance and engineering that Italian Design is known for. A minimalist nickeled steel stem arm is the center of the desk lamp and a nickeled mechanism allows a cross braced arm to move up and down and to cantilever itself 360 degrees. This allows the lamp to focus light downward, sidewards or upward to light a wall, creating both a poetic statement and a practical instrument. The complimentary colors of a black base and a white reflector shade balance and give energy to the entire composition. Overall, it is both a subtle and dramatic work of art.
