Sculptural eclipse model table lamp. with a snail-shaped dome made of a single spiral-mounted blade and painted iron feet. Vintage piece, 1980s. In working order.
About the Eclipse lamp, Maurício Klabin said: "I think that the work of a designer must be of good quality, beautiful and cheap. With the Eclipse lamp I overcame the trauma of expensive design. This lamp was ready for many years before I produced it in series. I had the idea but only wanted to launch it when I was able to manufacture it at a reduced cost. Design must be accessible by the vast majority of us. I don't think it's good or even desirable to create objects for only half a dozen people. I need popular objects to exist. ".
Since 2006, the Eclipse lamp has been part of the renowned permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA)
