Large Antique Copper Ship Lanterns as Corner Table Lamps w/ Rope Base, Pair

About the Item

These lanterns were made in the early 20th century with excellent craftsmanship as ship lights for signaling and navigation. They are newly made into table lamps with a stem and socket in a matching finish on top, and the original interior lights are newly rewired with a medium base socket. Their quarter-round shape makes them perfect for a corner. They are copper and brass with a beautiful patina and decorative rope on a wood base. The Fresnel lenses on the bellies of the lamps have removable, curved glass slide filters in red and green (providing the option of red, green, or clear interior light. Stamped with "Nippon Sento Co. LTD." 13" x 11.75" width/depth x 30" height. One has a small (roughly 1 inch) dent on its side edge and a very small dent on its top curve.
