About the Item
A superb pair of flambé glazed lamps of grand scale on giltwood bases. Mid/late 20th century.
Why we like them
Richly coloured and of grand scale, these versatile lamps will complement traditional, contemporary or eclectic interiors. The flambé glaze on these vases, created through a specialised high-temperature firing process, displays rich interplay of various shades of deep reds and purples. This traditional glazing technique, admired for its unpredictability and complexity, produces a flowing, organic pattern unique to each piece, with beautiful hues that seem to shift under different lighting. The high-gloss finish brings out the depth and intensity of the colours, making the lamps an eye-catching and distinctive addition to any interior.
