About the Item

Large stoneware table lamp by Søholm, Denmark in the 1960s, beautiful striped beige lamp stand with large vintage shade included, in excellent vintage condition. This intriguing and very stylish large stoneware lamp stand features an appealing elongated egg-like shape with a beige and brown striped pattern. The body is slightly textured which only add a wonderful tactile experience. Hallmarked underneath Søholm, Bornholm and signed H.V. or M.H. - unfortunately this signature is known to us. On top lies a large vintage shade, cone shaped and made in a bast-like material, which suit the striped pattern very well. The shade, which is included, is not original to the lamp stand, but contemporary and gives the lamp stand personality and charm. The organic and appealing shape combined with the subtle colors of the body gives this lamp stand an almost tribal feel, only emphasized by the material of the shade. A beautiful piece, that suit any living room, hallway or even in the bedroom as bedside lamp. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of usage and age - no chips or cracks. The shade, which is included, is in good vintage condition with some signs of usage and age. Please see the photos! All original including 1.85 m (6' 0.8") plastic cord and Euro style plug - which is easily change to your specific plug. The bulb socket features the on/off switch. Tested and fully functional.
