Late 19th Century Danish Bronze Table Lamp in Pompeii Style, Denmark 1880’s

About the Item

Late 19th century danish artist made table lamp in a classic Pompeii style with clear references to both Neoclassicism and Pompeii. The lamp is made of gilded bronze in Denmark in the 1880’s by an unknown Danish artist. The lamp shows clear references to artist and architects like Constantin Hansen, Jørgen Roed, Nicolai Abildgaard, Herman Ernst Freund and M G Bindesbøll and is most likely made by one of the craftsmen associated with the circle of artist and architects. The quality of the table lamp shows a very skilled level of craftsmanship. The lamp is the perfect detail for any style of interior from a classic Midcentury modern style of interior to a more antique style of interior or even a more Art Deco style of interior or even a Wabi Sabi style of interior.
