Late 19th Century Hand Painted Porcelain Table Lamp with Brass Base, circa 1890 An attractive antique porcelain table lamp of classical vase form, dating to the late 19th century. The finely moulded porcelain body features twin swan-neck handles and a vibrant pink ground, hand painted with floral cartouches to both sides. Gilded decoration is applied throughout, with stylised foliate motifs. Mounted on a cast and gilded brass base of good weight and quality. Later adapted for electricity with a brass bayonet cap (BC) fitting. A decorative and elegant antique piece, suitable for interior display or use. Dimensions: Height: 49 cm Width: 22 cm Depth: 21 cm Condition: Presents well overall. Some wear to gilding and minor surface wear in line with age. Old hairline crack running approx. 4 inches from base, and old repair to one handle, as shown in photographs. Later lamp conversion.
