An elegant lamp of Alexandrite, also known as Neodymium, glass in a complex color that is normally lilac-mauve (in natural and incandescent light), but turns to a pale smokey blue when under fluorescent light. In an urn shape; with a gold accent stripe and gilded top and base. Circa 1940's. Newly rewired with dimmer on the socket. 7.5" diameter x 21" height to top of socket.
