About the Item
Nice Valigetta table lamp, designed by Matteo Thun for Bieffeplast in 1985. Produced in Padova, Italy, during the late 1980s. Together with Ettore Sottsass, Matteo Thun was one of the co-founders of the Memphis group. Another lamp that is very similar to the Valigetta is the Topolino, it features the same grey lacquered box with glass but a different handle. Later on in the 1990s, Thun designed another range of radical lighting for Bieffeplast called the Stillight series.
