Offered for sale is a Mazzega Company Italian lamp - Lampara LT 365 da tavolo - from circa 1970. The lamp features hand-blown Murano glass in a distinctive sculptural form, showcasing the era’s bold artistic flair. The clear glass, swirled and mottled, is paired with a bronzed base, reflecting the mid-century modern aesthetic. The base of each glass frond is imbued with a light brown color; encased in bronze sheath, each frond hooks over the columnar center so that you can configure the fronds as desired. The lamp is lighted by a mercury covered glass bulb at its center, providing a soft, ambient light. This is a striking blend of craftsmanship and avant-garde design, it serves as both functional lighting and a statement art piece. It is very heavy.
