About the Item
A beautiful old lamp base, dating from the late Art Deco period, circa 1940.
The base is made of metal, covered with hammered iron, beautifully patinated in a bronze color. A technique that is common in the European Art Deco period. The stem is made of stacked glass balls. This is in the modernist style. Due to the combination of these style features, the lamp can be dated around the 1940s. The lamp is not marked, maker unknown. Presumably Belgium or France.
The lamp is in good condition, working condition. Sturdy and stable. Beautiful quality.
The lamp is sold as a base only, without lampshade.
