About the Item
Fabulous vintage Mid-Century Modern drip glaze ceramic ball lamp with a new silk-like black drum shade. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, this lamp has been rewired and given a new socket however, we used the original socket sleeve. It has a new black painted ball finial and new felt on the lamp base. Please see photos and zoom in for details as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-20th Century.
You know, we have an abundance of beautiful lamps at our shop… but every now and then one comes along that takes “beautiful” to a WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL. THIS is that lamp!!! This is a STUNNING example of Mid-Century Modern lighting comprised of spherical or ball shaped base bearing a beautiful grayish white base color with light texture and featuring a coffee brown drip glaze ring. It’s fairly large scale with a twelve-inch diameter and height on the ceramic base, and it is topped with a GORGEOUS new black silk-like drum shade. Under the shade you will reveal a black painted neck, a 3 way switch upon a new socket wearing the original socket sleeve, and a brass plated harp topped with a newly black painted ball finial… It. Is. WONDERFUL!! It will be awesome on a nightstand in your bedroom, on a sofa or console table in your living room, on a desk in the den or study, or on an end or accent table in the family room. It is mid-century modern in style but will blend in beautifully with almost any décor and add just the right ambience to any room in your home. It’s bold, bright, beautiful, and it is sure to make a statement wherever you decide to use it. We are having a hard time letting go of this one!! So, if you love it even HALF as much as we do, you better hurry and make it YOURS!!!!!
