Mid century brass faux bamboo table lamp in the manner of Maison Bagues, France, C 1950's Brass faux bamboo design with curved legs. 79cm height, 30cm width (inc shade) 65cm height (exc shade) 27cm width across feet There is a single bulb holder taking E27 standard bulb. The shade is a modern replacement in a soft cream linen fabric The light is wired and in full working order, but as with all our lighting we would always suggest it is fitted and tested by a qualified electrician.

A very rare pair of 1970’s brass plated stainless steel Table lamps, designed by Maria Pergay. Born in 1930 in Moldova, Romania to Russian-Jewish parents, Pergay and her mother fled to France at the beginning of World War II. After the war, Pergay studied costumery, set design, and sculpture at the Institut des Hautes Études Cinématographiques in Paris, before opening her own shop to sell decorative silver objects. It wasn’t until the late 1960s that she began using stainless steel. Pergay lives and works in Paris, France.
