SUPERB DESIGN! DANISH MODERN MODELINE TEAK WOOD TABLE LAMP! HANDCRAFTED! Approx. 32" High By 18" Wide CIRCA 1957 This lamp is magnificent! A Danish Modern mid century table lamp that captures the beauty and style conscious designs of the fifties! This lamp features sculptured teak in a design that is open, airy and so very refined and elegant. Danish craft and woodworking had great influence in America starting in the post-war period and throughout the mid century. Danish designers became household names with the decorator crowd and everyone rushed to adapt Danish Modern for American needs and tastes. Modeline produced many, now iconic, sculptural wood lamps that are highly sought after for both their intrinsic beauty and their rarity! Very fine vintage condition! The teak is still lustrous and rich. Light tarnish to metal piping. Displays beautifully! A marvelous addition to your NY penthouse, Palm Springs atomic ranch or West Palm Beach estate!
