MAGNIFICENT Mid Century Table Lamp Maurizio Tempestini for Laurel Lamp Company! Incredible Brushed Brass! Hand Cut and Formed Teak! Iconic "Wishbone" Design! One of the finest mid century table lamps in the world! This Italian Laurel teak table lamp is a tribute to the lampmaker's art! Italian lamp design was on the cutting edge of both style and innovation after the second world war. Laurel lamp had been a high end lamp maker since the late thirties and by the fifties was flush enough to hire noted Italian lamp designers to design some lamps for them. This "wishbone" table lamp is attributed to Maurizio Tempestini. This lamp is so beautiful! a single socket can be lit and tpovides ample illumination. The lamp is the very definition of mid century modern Italian elegance and yet fits perfectly with today's nouveau 20th century furnishings style. Lamp is in very fine condition! The brushed brass is still excellent! The teak is still in fine condition and lustrous! Presents beautifully! A decorator's dream come true! Rare new - much rarer now. This lamp is an investment and will only increase in value for the lucky collector who obtains one the finest and most iconic MCM table lamps in the world! They don't make fine things like this anymore and haven't for almost half a century. A superb acquisition for your NY penthouse, Palm Springs atomic ranch, Rancho Sante Fe estate or Atherton compound!
