About the Item

Minimalist table lamp by the traditional Finnish company Idman, based on a design by Voitto Haapalainen from the 1950s. An original from the Aalto era. A classic of Finnish mid-century design. The lamp consists of a round lamp head connected to a heavy disc base by a slender stem. The head is made up of several parts. The underside forms a diffuser made of translucent plastic, which ensures even and glare-free light. The top is closed with a painted metal hood so that the light shines primarily downwards onto the table surface. The hood is loosely attached with three clips. It shows a few signs of wear. A push switch is located on the top of the base. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The cable has been professionally replaced.
