Mid-Century Modern Smoked and Ribbed Glass Table Lamp with Chrome Fittings

About the Item

This elegant Mid-Century Modern table lamp was realized in the United States, circa 1960. It features a ribbed orbital glass body with a stepped indentation on top and bottom all in translucent smoked glass. The body sits on a gently sloped and tiered base in lustrous polished chrome- a material that is reiterated in the conical fitting adorning the top of the glass body. The channeled detailing in the glass imbues the piece with a subtle sense of dynamic movement. It is fitted with a spherical finial in chrome. This gorgeous lamp- offering the clean lines of American Mid Century design at its finest- would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The lamp comes fitted with a custom lampshade. American, circa 1960 Dimensions: 13" diameter x 32" height.
