Mid-Century Space Age Italian Green Early Model Toledo Table Lamp, 1960s

About the Item

Rare table lamp from the Italian manufacturer Guzzini based on a design by Luigi Massoni from the 1960s. Here from the early edition with a one-piece trumpet base and in the rare color green. The mushroom-shaped lampshade is made of translucent acrylic. The foot is trumpet-shaped and tapers to a very fine shaft. The contrast between the green shade and the white base is striking. On the top, the white of the foot is repeated in a disc with air holes. The shade is white on the inside, so that the light emerging downwards is not colored. The green glowing shade makes this table lamp an impressive lighting object. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear. Have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
