Mid-Century Swedish Olympia Shelf or Table Lamp by Anders Pehrson, 1960s

About the Item

Rare shelf or table lamp from the Swedish manufacturer Atelje Lyktan after a design by Anders Pehrson from the 60s. A minimalist design. Particularly eye-catching is the simple shape of the shade as a flat cylinder. The opening is covered with a diffuser grid made of metal. The shade is connected to a heavy plate base via a chrome-colored shaft. The stem is mounted in a sleeve so that the lamp head can rotate and be aligned. A series switch allows the two bulbs to be switched individually or together to adjust brightness. This series of luminaires was used, among other places, in the Olympic village of the 1972 Olympics in Munich. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
