About the Item

This very unique and functional table lamp is unsigned, but presumed to have been homemade in Canada in approximately 1965 in the period midcentury style. The lamp features a figural cast iron canon and leather bound book with cast canon balls fastened to a wooden platform base. The lamp fixture is mounted on a metal post and the original period shade is a simple composed of burlap over paper. A nice example of a highly decorative and functional unique table lamp suitable for an accent table or desk.
